About The Brand+-

Petit Crabe

Petit Crabe is a celebration of kids who love to explore nature.

A summer day at the pier or beach with children catching crabs – is there anything better?

Their enthusiasm when a crab is caught in the net, the joy of setting it free afterwards and watch it wander back into the ocean.

Children can sit there for hours – but they don´t have a crab´s protective shield, and can end up having the same color as their little playmate, ouch!

The first Petit Crabe UV swimwear collection was launched in spring 2012. Influenced by the founder Anne Mardahls Danish heritage, the brand follows the enduring Scandinavian design principles of functionality and simplicity.

The mission of Petit Crabe is to produce exclusive, stylish and comfortable swimwear that both young and older children will love to wear. And most importantly, the swimwear must protect against the harmful rays of the sun.

Petit Crabe´s creative DNA is a timeless and minimalistic stylish look with a few beautiful details.

Each collection is designed with many combinations allowing to mix and match the styles to individual taste.

Petit Crabe has become well known for its comfortable and quick-drying sunsuits and zipper shirts in premium OEKO-TEX® fabrics.

Product Care+-

Petit Crab advise to rinse your swimwear with cold tap water after wearing it. If the swimming pool or beach has cold outdoor showers, you can rinse off there.
They recommend that you do not wring the swimwear, but lay it flat to dry – and dry it out of direct sunlight to avoid fading.

Wash your Petit Crabe swimwear inside out by hand or in cool water with mild soap. 30 Degrees is best.
Do not soak, bleach, tumble dry, dry clean or iron.
Don’t put a swimsuit in the dryer, as the extreme heat will weaken the elasticity of the fabric.
Swimwear should be completely dry before storing.

If you experience that your swimwear looks spotty after use, it may be grains of dark sand stuck in the fabric fibers. It is quite common for this type of swimwear. Wait untill the clothes is dry, stretch the fabric a bit in the affected area, and turn it downwards so the sand can fall out.
If needed, brush off the sand with your hand or with a fingernail.

Let sunscreen on uncovered skin absorb properly before putting on the swimwear as it prevents stains on the swimwear.

Shower before swimming in the pool reduces the amount of chlorine it absorbs. A wet suit has no more room to soak up additional water.

Avoid contact with rough surfaces. Sitting and/or rubbing against textured pool decks or rough edges or objects can ruin the smooth texture of your swimwear.
