Snug and warm and with a wide cuff, these thumbless mittens are a perfect baby accessory that coordinate with matching booties and bonnet. String them through your baby’s jacket or snuggle suit to prevent them from being lost. Make sure the string is not too long: cut it to size and/or tie it.

This new style of fleece from Cosilana is different from their previous 100% merino wool version. Now made with 60% merino wool and 40% cotton, this new blend is easier to wash and more durable, while also being gentler on sensitive skin.

Size: These should fit from about 4 months to 1 year, but probably longer! The Cosilana fleece items are thinner than the Engel fleece sweaters and suits we also sell.

Care: This is untreated wool fleece and some piling will occur and it will flatten over time. Please wash it by hand or on a delicate cold wool program (inside a pillow cover). The key is to make sure the water temperature is stable throughout the wash. Do not wring it - when wet pull it into shape then either let it dry flat or squeeze excess water out by rolling it in a towel and then hang to dry. Wringing it will destroy the fleece! Can be washed up to a maximum of 30 Degrees.

All of Cosilana's products are made in Germany. All the dyestuffs used are free from heavy metals and free from harmful AZO-dyes. The wool is certified by IVN to be a natural textile of high quality.

Product Care+-

Wool Terry- Usually, it’s enough to air these woollens regulary and only handwash them from time to time at a max. of 30° C with a mild wool shampoo and re-oil them with lanolin.

Wool/Silk- Handwash at 30° C with a natural silk/wool dedicated soap.

Silk/Wool/Cotton - You can machine wash this quality at 30° C with a natural silk/wool dedicated soap. Do not spin or tumble dry.

Wool/Cotton Fleece- Machine wash or Handwash at 30° C with a natural silk/wool dedicated soap. Do not wring, stretch the garment back into shape whilst damp and lay flat on a towel to dry.

Great mittens Long string

These are wonderful and they actually lasted two winters for my son. The first winter he was 7 months -10 months (we have a long winter and a late spring) second spring he is 19 months to 22 months. We stopped using them because he wanted to use his thumbs before he actually out grew them. They are lovely quality and we have put them up for the next little we have because they will certainly last through several more winter uses with future babies. The only reason i took off one star is because the string that attaches them to each other is very long and stretchy to the point of being a bit of a nuisance. We had them knotted to shorten the string and they still were constantly dangling rather long but we never lost a mitten so there is that too. I would recommend them despite the long string they are worth the hassle of it.
