The Mali shirt is a relaxed fit unisex style, made from hand dyed indigo produced in the 500+ year old Kofar Mata Dye pits of Kano, Nigeria. The beauty of these items is that each piece is unique and the hand dying process provides beautiful depths of variation in the indigo, from one piece to the next. Mali features an open neckline with elasticated sleeve cuffs to bring a subtle volume, as well as having the added benefit of being able to push them back for play or mealtimes. Pair with the matching trousers for a colour blocked look.
It is recommended to wash dark colours separately and to dry out of bright sunlight if you wish the intensity of the dye to remain. However these natural Indigo dyes also wear in and fade beautifully, unique to the wearer over time and this is another aspect of this hand crafted dye that we love.
Made from 100% Cotton.
This Cotton is grown and sourced in Nigeria and then dyed with Natural Indigo at the Kofar Mata dye pits in Kano.

Kamso products are designed to be used everyday. Wear, love and repeat!
We suggest you use liquid, eco-friendly detergent. Powder detergent contains mineral abrasives that can wear clothing prematurely.
Kamso's printed fabrics are made from wax cotton manufactured in Africa. We suggest you machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colours. Do not wring or twist and hang dry vertically to encourage minimum creases, however a warm iron can be used if needed.
Due to the nature of printed wax cotton, some excess dye residue may be present on the garment. We advise to wash before wear to reduce the chance of colour transfer.
Cotton pieces should be washed at low temperature (30C) on a gentle cycle. We recommend you shake each garment before line drying to reduce wrinkles. A warm iron can be used if necessary.
