Halfen
Halfen is a German family owned brand. Their knitting factory was originally founded in 1928 by Grandfather Karl Halfen, in a small village near Koblenz, named Hungenroth. Socks and underwear were their first products. Today great grandson Fabian Halfen heads up the company along with his family members.
As a company with almost 100 years of experience they focus on craftsmanship, premium quality and sustainable production. The whole development process is in close collaboration with all of their employees from manufacturing, finishing, designing, as well as sampling. They create precisely tailored, sustainable products using GOTS certified materials from controlled biologically animal husbandry. Therefore they can guarantee that their yarn is pesticide free, with no synthetic colouring or other harmful chemicals used and they only use Mulesing free wool. Production is within their own knitting mill in Germany with the merino wool coming from Patagonia in Argentina.
Their strong brand ethos is a commitment to traditional craftsmanship, authenticity, ecological and sustainable production and creating clothing for babies, children, and adults that brings lasting joy while also protecting the environment.
They are known for their boiled wool outerwear and knitwear in soft tones with the occasional pop of colour.
