CANOPEA was created in 2016 by Constance Hartig, a graduate from Parsons School of Design in New York and French mom of three. Inspired by nature and the clean cut and timeless look from the 1930's, she set herself the ambition to reconcile style and sun protection. CANOPEA gained rapid international success and exports in over 30 countries across 4 continents. At CANOPEA, we also believe that high quality and sustainability go hand in hand. Our swimwear is made from recycled fiber and is certified UPF50+ without chemical filters. In addition to ensuring a better, safer sun protection, this also means that we use less water and energy to make our clothes, while being kind to the environment.

Thoroughly tested against stretching, chlorine, seawater and suncream, our pieces are made from high-quality certified UPF 50+ fabrics, offering the best protection available.

Made from European fabrics, narrowing the carbon footprint linked to our activity, our sun protective tops are made from Econyl®, a recycled fiber made from fishnets, and are free of chemical filters.
