A handbook for repairing and caring for your clothes.

Learn the art and craft of mending, a powerful skill of restoration for the clothes and belongings we love.

‘Mending Life’ is a beautifully illustrated handbook that will show you how to mend jeans, socks, sweaters, down jackets, leggings and other common repairs. It is a book to cherish which encourages us to care for our things by repairing them rather than discarding them. It is full of heartfelt stories that celebrate a sustainable and intentional lifestyle. You will feel encouraged to change your consumption habits with small mends to extend the life of your garments and household items.

This handbook is for beginners, but it also offers more advanced techniques for those with more experience in mending.

You will learn basic techniques such as patching but you will also have the option of a more technical mending technique like decorative sashiko stitching. Furthermore, you will learn how to darn socks and mend sweaters, how to fix a tear in a bedsheet or a down jacket.

Vibrant colourful illustrations are woven throughout this timeless and practical guide on how to cherish and care for your belongings.
