Product Care+-

Leather:

To ensure that your child's leather shoes or boots are kept in great condition, you should remove any dirt from the footwear using a damp cloth. Once they are free of dirt, coat them with beeswax spray, which is easy to apply in the right amounts and keeps the leather looking great and supple. If the leather footwear is worn often, it is important that you give it time to fully dry out every now and then. However, you should never place leather shoes or boots by a radiator or in a heating cupboard, as this dries out the leather and in the worst case may lead to the leather cracking. You can also use shoepolish at regular intervals. Choose between a color-free polish or one with
colors to keep the footwear looking new. Apply the shoe polish with a cotton cloth and polish to a shine.

Rubber boots:

1. Impregnate your boots

Before putting the boots to use, we recommend that you impregnate your boots with a natural oil product. We recommend using products that do not contain silicone. You can even use household oils such as olive oil to care for your rain boots. The impregnation will add an additional protective coating to the natural rubber and keep your boots soft and looking nice.

2. Clean the boots after use

Clean the rain boots with an slightly damp soft sponge or cloth with a bit of dishwashing soap. You can use a brush to clean the sole.

3. Allow the boots to air dry

If the boots have gotten wet, they should only be allowed to dry in moderate heat. Do not place the boots in a heating cupboard. You should also avoid placing them directly on or by a warm radiator, as this can cause the rubber to dry out and crack. Furthermore, avoid placing the boots in a spot where they are exposed to direct sunlight for long periods, as this too can dry out the rubber and cause the color to fade. We recommend storing the boots in a cool, dry and dark location.

4. Apply new coats of oil at regular intervals

After making sure the boots are clean and dry, you can add a thin layer of a natural oil product of your choice with a soft sponge or cloth. With the right care routine, you can keep suede footwear looking great and significantly extend its life.

Size Guide

How to choose the correct size boots for your child:

Measure the length of your child's foot while they're standing upright. Be sure to measure both feet, as their left and right foot may be different lengths. This is normal. Start by standing your child up against a wall with their weight evenly distributed between both feet. Place their heel against the wall and a book on the floor so that it is touching their longest toe. Then measure both feet in centimeters from the heel on the wall to the longest toe against the book. We recommend adding 1.5cm for growing room (1cm for toddlers), to the length of your childs feet and then selecting the size that best matches that measurement below.

For example, if your child's feet measure 14.5cm long you will then need to add  1.5cm (room to grow) which gives you a measurement of 16cm. Choose the EU shoe size that has an insole measuring closest to 16cm. Checking below will show you that you should order the EU24 size boot. You should not choose a boot with an insole bigger than 16cm as this may be too big for your child to walk in and therefore be uncomfortable.

Rubber Boots

When buying rain boots for your child, avoid buying ones with too much room for growth as rain boots cannot be strapped to the foot in the same way other footwear can. If the rain boots are far too big, the feet and heels will slide back and forth. This could mean they wear down faster, both on the inside and the outside, not to mention be uncomfortable for the child.

Rain boots are already fairly large and wide compared to other shoes and boots. You should therefore make sure to choose a pair with an appropriate volume, both in terms of shaft and width. If you want a little extra warmth and a more snug fit, you can add an extra wool sole inside the boots. A thick pair of tights or wool socks can also help.

Wool lined boots

Seem like good quality boots! My son has been wearing them everyday since he’s got them. I like the wool lining and the ties at the top. The color is nice as well.

The best wellies

We bought these last year too, they are soft, natural rubber and a wool lining so actually useful for winter unlike most wellies. We use these at the stable and forest walks every week and my 10 year old says they are warm and comfy. I have spent a lot of time looking for wellies and I think these are the best available in the UK.

Worth every penny

These wool lined boots are incredible. Combined with rain pants and wool socks our toddler has trudged through knee height puddles in the PNW winter. His feet have stayed warm and dry. We have already purchased the next size up!

Best boots

This is the second year we’ve purchased these for our toddler. They are his go-to shoes no matter the weather and are great for encouraging autonomy with putting on one’s shoes. The only downside is that the wool lining is slow to dry out on the occasion that they get flooded.

Not so happy with my experience

Company refused to take the returned items, after only week since purchase as I removed some tags. Regret placing a large order, won’t be shopping there again.
