Poems for Buttercup is inspired by the philosophies of Rudolf Steiner. Each piece is made with natural fibres and intentionally left simple. The faces and bodies of Poems for buttercup dolls are a vehicle for imaginative play and allow the child to create their own identity for their doll. Zoe, founder of Poems for Buttercup, design with seasons and celebrations in mind. 

She does most of her work in her studio but the beauty of handmade pieces, sometimes much of the finishing is worked on during the evening at her home once her girls are in bed. 

She loves bringing beauty and whimsy into families, she loves seeing and hearing how loved her work is in these homes.

A lot of her pieces are made to order, and Zoe loves to create each piece with the child in mind. By creating handmade products and sharing the journey on social media, she has found that customers buy with intent. They understand the process. She also enjoys shining light on the simplicity of Waldorf education, encouraging families to embrace the simple and beautiful in everyday life. 

As each piece is handmade by Zoe herself, every item us cut and made to order, so she has very little wasted fabric. Using natural and high quality materials and fabrics is a priority for her.
