All woven wool items should be hand washed in cold water with a mild wool/cashmere detergent. Avoid the washing machine entirely.
Never wring or twist. Lay flat on a towel to keep its shape, away from any heat source and direct light.
Avoid direct ironing. If needed, use steam from a distance or iron at a very low temperature with a cloth in between.
Fold rather than hang to prevent the piece from losing its shape. Store away from moths with a natural repellent such as cedar or lavender.

Lightweight woven wool should be kept away from sharp objects to avoid damage.
