Padmaja is an Indian brand steeped in the ancient heritage of the handwoven textile industry. They create new narratives around textiles, clothing and culture that are timeless and beyond trends. The process of looming fabric is very much an integral part of the garment construction and selvedges are used as a feature, often decorative and central to the design, not cut away and discarded.

The artisanal skill is inherent in each and every piece, seen through numerous historic weaving techniques that are championed by the brand, to ensure their future continuation.

Padmaja's clothing is all expertly hand dyed and hand loomed with pure natural fibres. Taking care of your garments properly will ensure that they are with you for a long time. Padmaja suggest not to dry clean but to wash separately in cold water with mild detergents. Drip dry in shade, or lay flat on a towel to soak up excess water. Do not expose to direct sunlight when drying as this could lead to variation in colour across the garment.
