Product Description

This sweater must be the perfect children’s sweater for autumn and winter. In the autumn in can be used instead of a jacket and in the winter under a jacket, where the sleeves function as half mittens and the collar functions as a neck warmer without the risk of actually losing it.

The sweater is available in three great color combinations: mustard/white, grey/white and petrol/white with matching hats. The sweater is named after the polar researcher Knud Rasmussen because we were inspired by the sweater that he wore to the North Pole in 1921. The model ended up being rather different, but the pattern is the same. Despite its name, the sweater is meant for both girls and boys.

Measurements are approximate, (as hand knits vary a little) and are taken in centimeters with the garment lying flat:

1-2y:  Width: 27cm  Length: 31cm Sleeve: 37cm (from neck)

2-3y   Width: 30cm Length: 34cm Sleeve: 38cm (from neck)

3-4y   Width: 31cm Length: 35cm Sleeve: 44cm (from neck)

4-6y   Width: 35cm  Length: 41cm Sleeve: 50cm (from neck)

6-8y   Width: 35cm  Length: 45cm Sleeve: 56cm(from neck)

8-10y Width: 37cm Length: 49cm Sleeve: 57cm (from neck)

Hand-knit in by Danish Grannies Denmark with very soft and light 100% soft highland wool.

Love

My daughters have each worn these sweaters for 3 years. They are so warm and cozy for our MN winters, durable and easy to care for (I've actually never washed them, just shake out and hang up). I just bought the next size up for my oldest.

I love this sweater, my friends and family love this sweater, but most importantly, my little one loves this sweater. I loved the handwritten tag by the knitter, too. I will be buying it and others again and again!
