Product Description

Our favourite felted wool slippers are finally here at Mamaowl! This felted boot is made from of 100% Pure Natural wool with a sole of soft calfskin.

The newborn slippers have the added benefit of SilkFit - which is a composition of 100% wool and a layer of silk on top of the wool (outside), this was made to make the kids shoes stronger, kids are by experience more hard in using the footwear The silk is 100 % silk needled in the top of the wool so it makes the wool stronger, for abrasion to the different surfaces the wool will be in contact to.

The slipper has a great shaped fit, following the contours of the foot while leaving enough space for small feet to grow.
The slipper is flexible and keep your feet warm and dry, due to the characteristics of the wool, as it has a great capacity to absorb moisture.

Sizing - one foot is often longer than the other, so measure the longest foot. For children add 10mm to the measured length, leaving room for small feet to grow.
Please see the size chart in the images to get the best fit for your little one.

About The Brand+-

Glerups

The Glerups headquarter is situated in the Northern part of Denmark – on the country side with fields, trees and fresh air.

With values of quality craftsmanship and deep respect for human, nature, and animal, the vision is to work in line with these values from farm to foot. This means, Glerups continuously work towards optimizing production and inventing the right technology to limit all waste. For instance, the leather labels are made of left over leather pieces.

Glerups started with wool from the family’s own Gotland sheep. But at Glerups, they never stand still. Over the years Glerups perfected the wool mix by blending Gotland wool with soft quality wool from New Zealand
farmers. These farmers meet high standards for consistent quality and humane animal welfare.

Glerups work with their farmers every step of the way and follow each pair of Glerups from the sheep to your feet.

Product Care+-

HOW TO CLEAN AND CARE FOR YOUR GLERUPS

1. Since wool has a natural ability to self-clean, your glerups will stay fresh if you simply air them out and allow them to rest.

2. To remove stains we suggest that you gently clean on the stain with at light wet cloth and wool soap. You may have to repeat the process a few times, but make sure that you always leave the slippers to dry before starting over again.

3. Vacuum or blow your glerups clean of dust. Leather soles can be brushed and cleaned with a leather brush.

4. Rubber soles can be wiped with a wet cloth – make sure that they get some time to dry after cleaning.

5. Please be careful – natural rubber or leather soles may be slippery on wet and icy surfaces such as tile.

6. All our uppers are produced in 100% pure and natural wool and therefore you may experience colour difference from batch to batch.

7. Your glerups usually shed within the first 3-4 weeks of wear giving you a long-lasting comfortable feel for years to come. This is normal due to the natural treatment of our wool. Simply remove the shedding fibers and discard as desired.

Size Guide

If you are unsure about what size to choose, you can use this Size chart. The chart is based on the length of the lasts used for production.

First you will need to measure the length of your feet. This is how to do it properly:

1. Place the heel against a wall.

2. Measure from the wall to the tip of your longest toe.

Note - one foot is often longer than the other, so measure the longest foot. (For children add 10 mm to the measured length, leaving room for small feet to grow).
